Slack Integration

Overview:

We now have an integration with Slack to provide you with time off, tasks, and reminder notifications (on top of email notifications)!

Integration Configuration:

To start integration, go to the left side panel > Apps > Other Integrated Apps > Slack. In the pop-up, click Connect.

You will be directed to a page for you to grant permissions to Omni HR so that we can access your company's Slack Workspace and send notifications.

- The admin will only need to connect to your Slack Workspace once, and all relevant employees will receive notifications (we match employees via work email stored in Omni and the email used in the workspace).
Once connected, notifications will be enabled automatically.

Slack Notifications:

With the integration, you can customize the events you want to opt out of, if you do not want recipients to be notified.

But if you're already okay with the customizations, you can also just leave them as is. Here is each in detail
- Time off notifications - When employees submit time off requests, the relevant approver/s will be notified via Slack. They can then approve/reject via Slack directly. Employees will also be notified of any approvals/rejections to their requests.

- Reminder notifications - Based on the reminders that you have set up for your Organization in Settings > Reminders, we have also replicated the same notifications on Slack, provided you have toggled on Send Notification by Email.

- Task Notifications - We can also send Slack notifications if there are new tasks assigned to an employee.
