Overview:
You can now bulk upload Base Salary items in employees' payroll tabs. Just follow the steps below.
Step 1. Download/Make a copy of the template from this link.
Step 2. Fill-up the template accordingly.
- Here are some things to remember about the template as you are filling up
- For "Column A (System ID)" , you can get this by generating an employee list through the reports module. The first column in the report show the system ID of the employees.
- For "Columns B, D-G, and I" , these are all required. If you miss putting in even just one of the columns, the upload will fail.
- For "Column B and C (Effective Date Start Date/End Date)", this should be in the format dd/mm/yyyyy
- For "Column C (Effective Date End Date)", for multiple transactions, especially if historical records are included, ensure that this field is field, otherwise it will cause upload failure.
- For "Column D (Frequency)", indicate if frequency is Monthly, Daily, Hourly, Annually, B-weekly, Weekly, or Quarterly.
- For "Column E (Currency)", indicate the currency. The currency should be in the format support by the system (e.g. USD instead of $). You can check any profile > payroll tab to check the format of the currency you are about to use.
- For "Column F (Amount)", just input the amount.
- "Column G (Event)" is optional.
- "Column H (Remarks)" is optional. You can choose from the selection, e.g. New Hire, Promotion, etc.
- "Column I (Delete?)" is required. If it is an additional input to their Base Salary, input "No" but if you want to remove an existing an data, indicate "Yes".
- Finally, delete row 2 before uploading.
Step 3. Upload the template in your Omni URL through "(company name).omnihr.co/new-import". For example, if your Omni URL is omnihr.omnihr.co, you will want to upload through "omnihr.omnihr.co/new-import".
Click Import > Click the Dropdown in the pop-up > Choose "Update base salary".
- "Drag and drop" or "click here to upload" to choose the upload template. Click Import.
- After a few minutes, you will receive an email through your primary email. Click the attached file to see if the upload was successful.
- You will see "Success!" in Column A (Validation) for items that were successfully uploaded. If it failed, you will see an error message. Adjust the upload template accordingly, then try uploading again.
