Overview:

Admins now have the flexibility to configure additional notification recipients for time off requests.

You can choose specific users or set dynamic rules, such as notifying users in the same department as the requestor. Notifications can also be tailored to be sent during the initial request, after final approval, or both.

Enable additional notification recipients

  • Go to Time Off > Settings > Approval Flows
  • Click on Add Approval Rule or into an existing approval rule already setup
  • In the pop-up, scroll to the bottom section where shows you the below:

  • When you click Yes, you will then be shown further settings to configure:

Choose when to send notifications

This setting provides two options on when a notification is sent, with selection of both options allowed.

  • When time off request is submitted
    • Notifications are sent when the application is submitted in the first instance
  • After time off is approved
    • Notifications are sent when final level approver in approval flow has approved the request

Select notification recipients

  • Specific groups of employees
    • You can select specific company, locations, departments or positions to be notified
    • You can also set 'Same as requestor', which will allow notifications to be sent to the same location, department or position as the requestor.
  • Specific employees
    • Specific list of users can be selected
