When you need to assign or unassign a Holiday Calendar for multiple employees, you can use the Import function in the system.

Steps to Assign/Unassign a Holiday Calendar
1. Create the Holiday Calendar
- Ensure you have created a Holiday Calendar first. Here how Creating and Assigning Holiday Calendars
2. Prepare the Employee List
Generate a list of employees who need to be assigned/unassigned.
3. Download or copy the Holiday Calendar Import Template LINK
4. Fill-up the template accordingly.
While filling out the template, keep these in mind:
⚠️ Columns A, B, and D are mandatory. Missing values will cause the upload to fail.
- Column A (System ID): Required.
Obtain from the employee report (first column shows the System ID).
- Column B (Effective Date): Required.
Must be in the format DD/MM/YYYY.
- Column C (Holiday Calendar):
Enter the exact holiday calendar name (from Settings > Work Schedules > Holiday Calendar > Name of holiday calendar).
If left empty, it will still be imported as empty.
- Column D (Delete?): Required.
Enter No to assign a new holiday calendar.
Enter Yes to unassign/delete the holiday calendar from the employee.
5.Upload the Template
Go to your Omni URL and add
/new-import
(e.g.,omnihr.omnihr.co/new-import
).Click Import > select Update Holiday Calendar from the dropdown.
Upload the file by dragging and dropping or selecting it manually.
Click Import.
6. Review the Validation Email
After a few minutes, you will receive a validation email.
Open the attached file to check the results:
“Success!” in Column A = successfully uploaded.
An error message = failed upload (adjust the template and try again).
