Bulk Assign/Unassign Work Schedule

When you need to assign or unassign a Work Schedule for multiple employees, you can use the Import function in the system.

Steps to Assign/Unassign a Work Schedule


1. Create the Work Schedules


2. Prepare the Employee List 

  • Generate a list of employees who need to be assigned/unassigned.




4. Fill-up the template accordingly. 

While filling out the template, keep these in mind: 

⚠️ Columns A, B, and D are mandatory. Missing values will cause the upload to fail. 

  • Column A (System ID): Required.
    • Obtain from the employee report (first column shows the System ID).

  • Column B (Effective Date): Required.
    • Must be in the format DD/MM/YYYY.

  • Column C (Work Schedule):
    • Enter the exact work schedule name (from Settings > Work Schedules > Work Schedule > Name of schedule).

    • If left empty, it will still be imported as empty.


  • Column D (Delete?): Required.
    • Enter No to assign a new work schedule.

    • Enter Yes to unassign/delete the work schedule from the employee.


5. Upload the Template  

  • Go to your Omni URL and add /new-import (e.g., omnihr.omnihr.co/new-import).

  • Click Import > select Update Work schedule from the dropdown.

6. Review the Validation Email 

  • After a few minutes, you will receive a validation email.

  • Open the attached file to check the results:

    • “Success!” in Column A = successfully uploaded.

    • An error message = failed upload (adjust the template and try again).
