Assigning Tasks and Workflows

Overview:

Now that you have created the tasks and workflows in Omni HR, it is time to assign them to your employees. Let's look at different ways you can assign these to your employees.

 

Via Workflows Tab:

  • Go to Employee Profile > Workflows > Assign tasks/workflows.


  • A pop-up will appear, for you to choose which task/workflow type you want to assign.


  • In the next step, you may add tasks one by one through clicking Add task at the center.


  • You may also add multiple tasks through workflows by clicking the workflows created at the right hand side.


  • Once the tasks have been added, their send/due dates can still be edited, and the assignee can be the Employee, Manager, or a specific person in your organization.


  • Click Save, and the new tasks should now appear under the Workflows tab.


  • The tasks should also appear in the Tasks tab, where the employee can complete them.


Via Add Employee form:

  • Go to People > Add Employee.


  • In the form you'll be brought to, you have the option to add the tasks in the 4th step.


  • Click Yes for the question "Do you wish to send any onboarding tasks?". An additional section will appear for you to add the tasks and workflows.


  • Same as in the previous method, you can add tasks one by one or through clicking the workflows at the right hand side. The tasks' send/due dates can also still be edited, and the assignee can be the Employee, Manager, or a specific person.


  • Click Next, and fill-up the remaining steps in the form. Once the employee is created, the tasks should now appear under the Workflows tab and the Tasks tab, where the employee can complete them.
