Overview:
Google and Outlook Calendar Integration is up! You can now sync OmniHR's Team Calendar with your Google/Outlook/iCal Calendars, and know which employees are on leave right from your own work calendars.
Getting the Calendar link from Omni HR:
- Go to Team Calendar > Add to calendar app
- A pop-up will appear where you can select whose calendar you want to export — Yourself, Your Manager, Direct reports, Indirect reports or Custom.
- If you chose Custom, you can pick from different filters — Companies, locations, departments, positions, or specific employees to include.
- Choose Events to include as well — Public Holidays, Time off, Birthday, Work anniversaries of the people you have chosen to export for.
- Once done, click Generate Link. You will now be able to copy the calendar link in the next pop-up, which you can import into your Google Calendar or Outlook.
- Note that what will be exported will still depend on permissions — who you have access to and which events you have access to.
Add the link to your Google/Outlook/iCal Calendar:
- For Google Calendar:
- In the lower left side of your calendar, you should see a section named "Other calendars". Click the "+" sign next to it > click From URL.
- In the lower left side of your calendar, you should see a section named "Other calendars". Click the "+" sign next to it > click From URL.
- Paste the URL from Omni HR, then click Add calendar.
- Paste the URL from Omni HR, then click Add calendar.
- For Outlook Calendar:
- Go to your Outlook calendar > click "More commands"(the 3 dots next to Schedule view) > click Add > click From Internet
- Go to your Outlook calendar > click "More commands"(the 3 dots next to Schedule view) > click Add > click From Internet
- Paste the URL from Omni HR then select OK.
- For iCal Calendar:
- Click the Calendar icon at the upper left side and select Add Calendar
- Click the Calendar icon at the upper left side and select Add Calendar
- Click Add Subscription Calendar and copy and paste the URL from Omni HR in the URL field. Click Subscribe.
- Click Add Subscription Calendar and copy and paste the URL from Omni HR in the URL field. Click Subscribe.
- Click "Add" and you should now see your calendar from Omni HR.
- Click "Add" and you should now see your calendar from Omni HR.
