Overview:
The Access Control is where the admin can configure the permissions for different roles users take. It is divided into 2 sections — Role's access to Employee profiles and Role's access to system functions. We'll discuss in this article how you can configure Role's access to system functions.
Role's access to system Functions :
- Go to Settings > Access Control > Click any role, then go to Role's access to system functions
- This section indicates what actions the user can perform in Omni HR. It is divided into different sections which are based on the different menus in the sidebar.
- To start, expand the section you want to edit the access to by clicking the + sign next to the section name.
- You will see boxes under each section, with texts that indicate what the user will be able to do once they are ticked.
- For example, in the screenshot below, ticking the box with "My tasks" enables the user to be able to view the My Tasks widget in his/her Homepage.

- Once you are already good with the boxes ticked for each section, click Save at the lower right hand side of the screen.
The changes (including Role's access to Employee profiles) will reflect real time to all users with the assigned role. Note that by default, the configurations are only applied to Active employees. You can choose to apply this to terminated employees by ticking the box Include terminated employees at the lower left hand-side.
