Overview:
Before you start working with OKR approval statuses, it’s important to know how the Approval Flow can be toggled on or off. This setting will dictate how OKRs are handled and which actions are available for employees and managers.
Permission Required: Manage OKR Settings
Settings for Approval Flow
The default setting for Approval Flow is OFF. Users may toggle this ON or OFF from the OKR Settings Page.
- Click OKR > Settings > Click the check box to toggle the setting ON or OFF
What does it mean for users when the settings for approval flow are ON and OFF?

| Employees can create OKRs without requiring manager approval. | Employees must have their OKRs approved by their managers before updating Key Result (KR) progress. |
Toggling Approval Flow ON and OFF
1. When Enabling Approval Flow (Turning it ON)
- All existing OKRs will automatically be updated to 'Approved' status
- New OKRs set after setting will be sent to managers for approval process
2. When Disabling Approval Flow (Turning it OFF)
- Users will see a pop-up below, informing them by disabling the approval flow, all current OKRs statuses will be removed and not be recovered.
