Deleting Tasks with Dependencies

Overview:

This guide will cover when you cannot delete a task. We will cover when the task is part of a workflow template and when you are viewing the task template itself. 


When are you unable to delete a task in the workflow template?

  • A task cannot be deleted when there are dependencies tied to it within the workflow


  • You will need to delete the dependent tasks before being able to delete the specific task


When are you unable to delete a task template?

  • A task template cannot be deleted when the task template has dependencies tied to it, or it is already scheduled for assignment.


  • This is done to prevent users from accidentally deleting task templates that have already been assigned or in progress.
