Overview:
When launching a performance cycle, your employees will be notified accordingly. We will be discussing the ways they will be notified in Omni HR.
When will the employees be notified?
- Before we go to the ways your employees are notified, you may be wondering when they will be notified. Employees are notified on the start date of the individual review assigned.
- For example, the Self Reviewee start date is April 25, 2025. The Self Reviewee will then get the notification on this date, and will be able to start answering the review by then. Same is true for the other persona reviewers: Manager, Peer, Upward, Secondary Manager.
- They will also be notified according to the reminder dates set in the reminders module. For example, admins can set a reminder of 7 days before the performance due date. If the due date is April 25, 2025, Omni HR will only send a notification on April 18, 2025.
- For admins who have the "Manage performance cycles" permission via Access Control, they will be sent a notification on the start date of the Review Cycle Period.
How the system notifies the employees:
- Email: The first way the system notifies employees is through email. Below is how it will look like for both the start date and the reminder.
- When they click the button in the email, it will lead them to the page where they can take their reviews.
- Notification Bell: Second, the system can also notify employees through the notification bell at the top right of the interface.
- Note that for this notification, Omni only notifies to remind the employees. The employees will not see a notification here on the start date of their performance reviews.
- Slack: Finally, if you use Slack, Omni can notify employees through here as well. You can connect your Slack account with Omni through our Slack Integration.
- But for this notification, the system only sends reminders. This means the employees will not receive a notification at the start of their performance review through here.
