Configure Display Days Taken Only

Modified on Mon, 8 Sep at 1:48 PM

Overview

We have introduced a new display option under time off settings to show Days taken instead of Days available or Remaining balance

This will be ultimately useful for setting up specific time off policies such as unlimited annual leave, jury leave or national service leave, which do not have a fixed entitlement, and where tracking of the leaves taken is a priority.

How do I configure the display of days taken only?

Prerequisite:
This feature will only be enabled for organisations upon written request. You may reach out to your customer success manager or Omni Support for further information on enabling this feature.

  • Step 1: Go to Time Off > Settings > Click on Add Time Off Type OR an existing time off type and the pencil icon
  • Step 2: A new Yes or No option is available when adding or editing a time off type: Show time off taken only

    • By default, this setting will be set to No
    • When set to Yes, all time off policies using this time off type will display Days taken instead of balance-related fields.

Where will I see days taken displayed when it is enabled?

  • Employee dashboard

  • Employee profile > Time off: This will apply for self and other profile views

  • Time off request / update request: Available & Remaining balance will not be shown, only days taken

  • To-do > Time off approval requests: Available & Remaining balance will not be shown, only days taken

How is days taken calculated and displayed?

  • The system will calculate and display the days taken under that policy as of today (date you are viewing)
  • It will not take into consideration any planned leave taken in the future. This can still be viewed under the Time off balance summary.
