How to Set Up Projects and Remarks for Attendance

Modified on Mon, 25 Aug at 11:11 AM

Overview:

Users can now record not only their working hours but also the specific projects they are contributing to and any additional remarks that provide context for their attendance.

How it Works:

  • Projects: Employees can log the project they are working on during their clock-in/clock-out. This makes it easier to track time spent across different initiatives or clients.
  • Remarks: Users can add notes to capture important details—such as special tasks, reasons for overtime, or other relevant information tied to their attendance record.

Note: Adding Projects or Remarks is completely optional. If you choose not to set them up, employees will not be required to select a project or enter any remarks when recording their attendance.

How to Create Project Names:

1. You can set Project Names that employees can choose when they are entering their attendance to indicate what project they worked on.

2. To start, go to Left Side Panel > Attendance > Settings > Projects > New Project.

3. Input the Project Name and click Save.

How to Make Project & Remarks Fields Mandatory:

1. After creating the Project Name, you can now make the Project and Remarks fields mandatory and trackable. Trackable means it will appear in employees' attendance modules where they can input the applicable info.

2. Go to Attendance > Settings > Field Management and select the Project or Remarks Field to configure the settings.

3. In the side pop-up, choose if you want to

(a) Enable tracking - If you have enabled Tracking, they will appear as a field that employees can populate when inputting their attendance.

(b) Make it mandatory - If you made them mandatory, employees will be required to put info for one or both (Project and/or Remarks fields) to enter their attendance.
