Modified on Thu, 26 Feb at 4:45 PM

Overview:

The product enhancement for the Attendance Module on 1st March 2026 introduces the following updates:

Attendance Time Rounding & Grace Period settings

New configuration options for Overtime calculation

✔ Approval flow for Overtime requests and timesheet edits

✔ “Lock Timesheet” control for better data management

For existing users, please take note of the following important changes alongside the enhancements:

Important Notes After Deployment

1. New Overtime Calculation Logic

Previously, overtime was calculated purely based of timing deviation from the work schedule shift times. Effective 1 Mar 2026, overtime will be calculated based on actual total hours worked in the work schedule.

Other overtime settings and employees’ Work Schedules will remain unchanged unless you update the settings. There are more settings available that you can take advantage of with this new OT logic. Please review it before making changes.

⚠️ Important:

Generally this key changes would only impact if you are using attendance to track overtime
  • IF you are calculating OT by the current method, the default after release on 1 March 2026 will be OT calculation by work schedule hours.
  • IF you no longer wish to use these settings, you may either turn off OT tracking (therefore just manually check clock in and clock out time) OR change the configuration rules so that it fits your preferences.

Grace periods, rounding, approvals are features that are turned off by default. You can choose to turn this and set it up to your preference. Read more on how to set up new overtime policy, time rounding and grace period.

2. Lock Timesheet

The new lock function will help finalize and protect timesheet data, giving admin more control to ensure accuracy. After deployment, you will see the “Lock Timesheet” button under Attendance > Tracker if the Attendance > View timesheet of other employees is already enabled for your role under Access Control.

⚠️ Important

Locking timesheets will permanently apply the new overtime calculation to historical data. To ensure a smooth transition to the new overtime calculation, please review and finalise your timesheets carefully before proceeding. Read more for detailed instructions and best practices.
